3 Months Old

Little Ms. Marlie Grace is 3 months old today.  I feel like this life is just zooming past me.  It is such a different feeling this time around.  With Madie we were anticipating what the next stage would bring.  With Marlie I keep wanting to just savor and soak in every moment because I know how very fast they go.  She is probably feeling a little smothered and must wonder why I keep kissing her tiny feet and soaking in her baby smell!  Ha!  At 3 months, Marlie is still sleeping through the night most nights.  She wants to roll over really really bad.  She hates tummy time and fusses at me the entire time.  She is really a laid back little girl and smiles constantly.  She just adores her big sister and it is obvious that the feeling is mutual.  I am so glad I get to watch the two of them grow together!  Marlie most enjoys her bouncy seat and loves to hear the music it plays.  She thinks everything is hysterical and laughed out loud for the first time two nights ago.  I am thankful everyday that she will call me Momma.  So very, very lucky!

Bling! Bling!

Madie wanted to play dress up this afternoon.  I think she looked great!  She loves to help Marlie accessorize too.  :)  And yes that is marker on Madie's face.  She missed the paper a bit.

Saturday Night with the Girls

Title had you fooled huh?  Ha!  It has a completely different meaning to me now and I wouldn't have it any other way! We all survived my first full official week back at work and have begun a great weekend.

My future is so bright....

I love the way they look at each other!

Cheese!

Love this face.  Love this girl.

Hey mom - I can do pizza and a movie too.  Look how big I am!

Ladybug Girl on the loose.

For the record, my girls and I did a little dancing on Saturday night too.  It just happened to be in the living room to Rio!

I'm 2!

I cannot believe how my life changed 2 years ago.  Madie Lou McQuitty made me a momma.  And what a proud mom I am!  Watching Madie grow over the past two years has been more than I could have ever imagined.  Madie, you are the funniest, sweetest little girl.  You make me laugh every day!  You make the funniest little faces and will never get away with anything in your entire life because it is always written all over your little face.  Ha! You love, love, love to dance!  You love your little sister, Mom, Daddy, CoCo and your family.  You love to give hugs and kisses but have no problem telling folks how you feel! Ha!  I have heard you say "HEY!" more than once. You say every thing these days and tell big, big stories!  I love to watch you say your prayers before bed.  I can already tell you are going to love taking care of people.  You are always very concerned that Marlie is getting every thing she needs.  You take such care of your babies.  You have a heart of gold and a smile that could move mountains.  I thank Jesus every day for letting me be your mom the last two years have been the best of my life, I look forward to many more!

We had such a big day celebrating as a family!

Guess what Marlie?  I'm 2 today!
Daddy even made special 2 year old pancakes. The pancakes weren't 2 years old, just in the shape of a 2! Ha!

First stop was the zoo.  Madie was so big and walked all around.  She loved all the animals!  Probably liked the monkeys, elephants and birds the best.  She even got to feed the birds.  We were a little concerned they would see the feather in her hair and think she was one of them.
Marlie was such a trooper for the whole special day for her big sister! Look at this face! Ha!

After the zoo we headed to the mall for lunch and build-a-bear.  But we had to ride the horses too!

She named her new bear, wait for it.......Bear!
Doing the heart ceremony, so sweet!
They even sang happy birthday to her!!
When we got home we had pizza on the "you are special" plate and watch Princess and the Frog.
Finally it was time for Elmo cake.
Cheese!  Look at that icing.  My kind of cake!
What a great day with my sweet, now 2 year old girl!!

Let the Celebration Begin!

If you haven't heard a certain little someone is about to turn 2!  Be warned this post has WAY too many pictures but we fit a lot of fun into one weekend!  Mimi, Granddaddy and Case came to visit for Easter and we celebrated little Ms. Priss too!

Here is Madie before our neighborhood egg hunt.  This face cracks me up because it is SO Madie right now.  MISCHEVIOUS!
Mimi and Granddaddy gave Madie a basketball goal because she and Mimi like to watch basketball together.  Here she is trying it out.
Precious Ms. Marlie before the neighborhood egg hunt!
My attempt at getting the girls together.
I love that they are looking at each other!

Headed to the hunt!
Our community really did a great job.  There was a petting zoo, bounce houses and booths.  Unfortunately there were also a million kids so we only wound up with two eggs.  Ha!
Here is Madie dancing!
All the girls
After the egg hunt we came home to celebrate Madie's birthday.  We had pizza for lunch and she had picked out a princess cake.  Because it was a princess party I got tiaras for everyone to wear.  I love a lot of things about our family but absolutely love that as I handed out crowns no one even pretended that they weren't going to wear it! Because of that I decided I would not post pics of the boys in theirs!
Pure joy about her new water table!

My little birthday chick princess!

Marlie looks good in a crown don't you think?
Daddy and his girls
Case got Madie a drum set.  She is such a rocker chick.
And sometimes a cowgirl......on her new bike
Chad, Kelly and Cooper sent a bag of awesome stuff but she particularly loves her new sprinkler kitty!  We had to break it in immediately!

One of her new dress up outfits.  Yee-Haw!

Decorating eggs with Case

And finally - Easter morning.  Is my child the only one that had cotton candy for breakfast?  At least her ears look good.  :)
Hunting eggs in the backyard Easter morning.
My other little Ms. Priss on Easter!

Wow!  What a whirlwind weekend.  Madie had SO much fun!
