Weekend Fun

We headed over to Kelly and Chad's this weekend to watch the big Cowboy game.  We had a lot of fun and were so glad to see Mr. Cooper.  Madie loved watching him toddle around!  Every time he would come by she would try to say something to him.  Ha!  Madie got to rock her new silver star bow, Chad and Kelly made awesome fajitas and the Boys won.  All and all, a great night!

Chow Time Baby

We started rice cereal this weekend.  Madie took to it immediately.  All those nights of longingly looking at her Daddy's creations and now she has her very own.  Doesn't appear we are going to have a hard time getting her to try new things! 

As if a new food adventure wasn't enough, we decided it was time for a little fun with water.  Amazing how the smallest things bring the best times.  I should remember that as I scour the shelves for the latest and greatest "age appropiate" toy!

4 Months Old

Little Miss Madie is 4 months old today.  Time goes by so quickly and everytime we turn around she is doing something new!  At 4 months old Madie weighs 13lbs 10 oz and is 24.5 inches.  The doctor says she is perfect, but we already expected that!  Madie is rolling over front to back and back to front.  She smiles all the time and giggles quiet a bit.  Madie loves all her toys but Sophie the giraffe, her blocks, the playmat and her wishing wand are her favorites.  Madie loves all her friends at daycare but has what seems to be a best friend, Alex.  She and Miss Alex always sit together in their bumbos, play on the playmats, and even nap at the same time!  Alex is usually there before us and when we walk in she smiles so big at Madie.  It is adorable!  Madie is obsessed with her feet and loves putting her toes in her mouth.  She likes when we go to Central Market and will listen the live music and watch all the kiddos playing for hours.  She still studies everything. She loves her bath.  She definitely recognizes Mommy and Daddy and grants us the biggest smiles when we walk into a room. Poor Mike is so smitten! She did have her first bout with an ear infection this month and MiMi came to the rescue so Mom could work.  I know the next month will bring even more adventures, but this one sure has been great.  We start solids tonight so I am sure we will have fun with that!  Happy 4 month day Madie Lou, we love you!

One Year Ago Today

One year ago today a million prayers were answered.  One year ago my heart felt as though it would explode.  One year ago today I saw a version of Mike's smile I had never seen before.  One year ago today I cried tears of pure joy and excitement.  One year ago today I waited for phone call that I thought would never come.  One year ago today we said will it be a boy or a girl?  One year ago today we talked about what our baby would look like.  One year ago today we made a call to friends and family that forever changed our lives.  One year ago today we found out we were pregnant with Miss Madie Lou.
