Day of the Girl

One of my very favorite non profits in Tarrant County is Girls Inc.  They work hard to instill confidence in at-risk girls.  This year I served on the Day of the Girl committee and was absolutely honored to have the opportunity.  We planned an event in downtown Fort Worth to celebrate International Day of the Girl.  We had a march down Main Street, a proclamation reading by Mayor Betsy Price and a rally in the Plaza.  I wanted to take both girls with me to experience the awesomeness of being a girl but decided last minute it would be a little much for MG.  So glad I did because it was a LONG march!  Ha!  Mae and I had fun though and she still has her sign in her room.  Strong! Smart! Bold!
